Case

Loadout. The gear in the player's hands, sold at the retailer.

Johnny Speeds × hardware × retail. A format that shows what the players actually use, gives the manufacturers a natural presentation and lands at Inet, where the products are sold.

The challenge

Tying esports and its gear to actual sales.

Esports runs on specialist gear: mice, keyboards, headsets, chairs. The audience is curious about what the pros use, and the manufacturers and retailers want that curiosity to end in a purchase. A logo on a jersey does not get it there.

The audience is Johnny Speeds' own: Swedish Counter-Strike fans who follow draken, hampus and the rest of the roster, on the club's channels and at the matches.

The format

Run what he runs.

Loadout shows the gear the players play on, player by player. Every brand gets a natural presentation in the player's hands, and everything links to Inet where it can be bought. The way in is the player: you come to find out what draken runs, and you leave knowing where to get it.

Our role

Concept, production, publishing, follow-up.

Johnny Speeds is the sender. We built the format with the club and the partners, we produce the material and publish it in the club's channels, and we report back to the partners.

Productions

Player presentations with gear, product graphics per item, and partnership announcements on film. The Keychron announcement is in the showreel.

Publishing

On johnnyspeeds.se/loadout and in the club's channels, updated when the roster or the gear changes.

Follow-up

Trackable links measure interest. Sales are the retailer's figures.

Every product link to Inet is trackable, so we can follow clicks and which products draw the most interest, per player and per publication. That is the measuring tool.

What it proves is interest, not sales. Whether a click becomes a purchase is visible in the retailer's own figures, and that is where it belongs. We report views, reach and clicks to the partners; we do not publish them here.
